Eating & Drinking

Eating and drinking along The Rochdale Canal offers something to appeal to every taste – from Sowerby Bridge Wharf with its range of restaurants from around the world, to homemade fayre in Hebden Bridge and organic cafes in Todmorden. There are also a host of traditional pubs along the length of the canal and city centre canalside dining.

Incredible Edible Todmorden has seen community fruit and vegetables patches appear everywhere including along the canal towpath. Help yourself as you pass by.

The Grass roots community allotment in Failsworth also has a large fruit orchard, vegetable growing areas, flower beds, chickens, ducks and bees. Drop in and buy something from their range of home grown organic produce including eggs, vegetables, flowers, fruit, herbs and honey.

Totally Locally in Calderdale promotes delicious local produce in shops, markets and farmers markets throughout the year.
