Summit/Watershed

The summit marks the border between Yorkshire and Lancashire but also the east and west divide of the moorland and the water itself. From this point a drop of water could either travel east to the North Sea or west to the Irish Sea. This concept has been captured in the ‘Watershed’ poem by renowned poet Andrew MacMillan.
